Vince Rooney Interview 2

Eric: Hello Vince Rooney and welcome to In Your Face again. Your the first person to appear on this show twice but we had to have you on after your huge press release

Vince Rooney: Well I am pleased to be back here Eric. I'm pleased your looking healthy again after your beating a few weeks ago. I'm pleased the show is back.

Eric: What we all want to know firstly Vince is are you saying you are ending the RWF after the Pay per view on Sunday 22nd September 2002?

Vince Rooney: Well Erc I am indeed ending the RWF on that day. Or as a like to say the RWF goes on an "indefinite break" I'm not saying that will be the end. It could come back in the future. It might even stay on and not end. I can give any answers at the moment as I want to sleep on the decision. But I am as sure as I look you in the eyes right now that the RWF is over.

Eric: You mentioned many reasons in the Vince Rooney Report for why the RWF "might" end. What are your main reasons

Vince Rooney: I realised my heart is no longer with the RWF. I only write the RWF for myself. I dont write it for the people. The people dont want it. Have never wanted it and now I dont want it. I realised that then Ig Show resigned. Thats when it dawned on me. So theres no point for the RWF anymore. I am burnt out and personally believe we have done as well as we could.

Eric: The RWF has lasted 20 months today. When it supposedly ends it will be 21 months old how proud are you of it?

Vince Rooney: I am immensely proud of it if 21 months old you had said you would have 2 shows, a website and a fansite I would have laughed. But here we are. We have grown over the time we have made some really "classic" episodes. Now however is the time to end before things turn anymore stale. The RWF has grown as far as it can now. There can be no more growing we have reached the peak. We have got nothing more to prove. The 200 odd episodes prove that.

Eric: Do you believe the product has turned stale like you claim?

Vince Rooney: Well theres only so many Macho Vs Pistol matches people can take. I think we have had every single matchup there can be. I think over the past six months the product has turned stale. Old fueds have resurfaced, I have got writers block and dont have the heart for it anymore. I am 100% sure it has gone stale.

Eric: Do you think creating two shows per week quickened this progress?

Vince Rooney: Yes and No really. Yes because having more RWF will lead to it getting more stale as people get fed up with it and storylines and matches have to be used over and over again over the two shows. But no in the sense that SmackRooney was created because the RWF had grown so much so I think the two shows did contribute to it but it has to be blamed to the RWF growing so quickly and becoming successful. It was like a vicious circle. We had to make 2 shows to continue to grow but by creating 2 shows we also helped make the product stale. I'm proud we did however make the second show.

Eric: Why did Craig Lynes resign from the RWF? Was this a storyline like Sgt Army and the rebel issue?

Vince Rooney: Nope Craig Lynes was the first wrestler to officially resign. He gave no reasons for this. I was disappointed greatly. He gave no reasons for this thats the reason Im upset. But I dont blame and thank him for giving his name to the RWF for so long

Eric: When you look back on the twenty one months of the RWF what will be your fondest memory

Vince Rooney: My fondest memory of the RWF will be about creating a product that no one will ever forget. That people can actually state their fondest memory and remember it is an achievement I am so proud of.

Eric: You say not many things can stop you from ending the RWF. What are these things?

Vince Rooney: I dont know myself thats why I never stated them. Near the end I might realise I might want to continue. I dont really know we'll see.

Eric: Will we see you back on the RWF storyline front soon?

Vince Rooney: Well I originally planned to return around christmas but after everything thats happened I can only say that I will be back in the next week or so.

Eric: Name 3 words that describe the RWFs 21 months?

Vince Rooney: Fun, really crappy and predictable, a roller coaster of crap that no one will ever be able to better.

Eric: What will you do with yourself if the RWF does indeed end?

Vince Rooney: I dont have a clue yet I wont need to work the RWF has made me comfortably rich over the past 21 months so I wont need to work ever again. But watch this space thats all. Vince Rooney will never "Die" unlike what other state.

Eric: Your obviously commenting on JCW which saw you get "killed" on its shows.

Vince Rooney: I am indeed. I think JCW was the biggest compliment ever I can be given. I can never be complimented for the show being good because it damn sure isnt! But I was complimented for lasting so long even though they dont know they did compliment me. They copied most of my shows and they had me appear in it. We made that big an impression on them that they did made it. Thats a huge compliment to me. That means that my work was a success. JCW didnt last and perhaps thats another compliment. Shows how tough it is to carry things on

Eric: Why do you call the RWF a rollercoaster ride?

Vince Rooney: The RWF had so many highs and lows. It had so many peaks. It was a fun ride from start to finish. Fun for not being entertainment but for being crap. It was one hell of a ride

Eric: What do you say to all the people who have ever read an RWF episode over the past 21 months?

Vince Rooney: Thank you. Thanks for sharing the memories. Thanks for making the RWF unforgettable and finally thank you for coming along for this ride. You have made the RWF something special. Even though I wrote it for myself and not for the people without the people there would be no RWF. Without the RWF there would be no people. And a big thanks to you all for the unforgettable adventure guys.

Eric: We have another interview with you on the supposedly very last week of the RWF but yet I must say Thank you Vince Rooney thank you for the memories I will never forget. I hope this isnt the end and perhaps it might not be. But nevertheless thank you for creating something we wont ever forget, that will have no equal and will stand the test of time.

Vince Rooney: Thankyou Eric thanks for coming along for the ride
