The show begins in the usual In Your Face studio except this time its dark and there is no audience. Eric
is sitting in the shadows in a chair, Vince is sitting with him. Eric opens the show looking back on the RWF. We see Mike
winning the first belt, Sgt and Vince shaking hands, Pistol Pete looking smug, The New World Moguls, Vince's family, Des Mcevoy
and firery cell, Ig Show and Nall fighting each other...and more
Q So Vince here we are you third and final appearance on In Your Face. Its a pleasure your with us for this
emotional show.
A Thanks Eric. Yes tonight's show should be quite an experience. I hope you have some good questions.
Q I'll try my best. Its been a month since you were last in that chair. What have you been doing in that
month?
A I've been very busy indeed. I have tried sorting out the wrestlers leaving pay off which has been very
tough. That is why the RWF has been delayed in ending for so long because of disputes with the wrestlers. Thankfully that
has been sorted out. I have also been busy talking to suppliers ending deals with them etc. Selling off RWF property and lots,
lots more. I'll be relieved when we reach this Sunday.
Q Any regrets about ending the RWF?
A A few I guess. It had to be done things were near the end for the series as a whole. But of course your
going to have doubts. You have done so much of the show over the years that its always sad when you have to end it. You keep
thinking "Could I have made it better?" "Could I have prolonged it somehow?" "Can't I just carry on?" But overall I'm satisfied
with everything we have done. I have no regrets really and am pleased its ending on top.
Q What are your thoughts on the RWF being killed off?
A Its a nice way to end the series with people being killed off. They arent really dying of course its a
good storyline though to see the end of some wrestlers before the final show.
Q Am I right into thinking that the reason Gordon, Hatch and Will died is because they still couldnt agree
on leaving payments?
A I can't really discuss this but yes that is one of the reasons.
Q You talked a lot about future plans the last time you were on here. Have you finalised these plans yet?
A I never plan far ahead Eric its bad business. My next couple of weeks though are planned. After Sunday
I am going to Llandudno for a 2 week holiday to relax for the first time in a few years I can tell you. After I get back I
am going to the RWF headquarters to finish a few jobs there. When I am going to discuss a few matters a for a few weeks with
the RWF board of directors. After that anything could happen.
Q This talk with the board of directors, is this around the possible relaunch of the RWF which you discussed
in your Vince Rooney report?
That will be the main topic on the agenda. I would love to relaunch it somehow and I will be talking about
this with the directors. Discussing if we should relaunch and how we could make the show bigger and better than before. If
we feel we cant or if we feel the fire has gone then we will agree to end it forever. If not we could relaunch in the coming
months.
Q Is this relaunch a possibility or a pipe dream?
A It could happen Eric I'm not ruling anything out at all. I would have to say its 40% chance of it being
relaunching. Even if I want to which I am undecided on at the moment I would need to find a reason for being sure that if
I did relaunch it that it would be better than before. I would need to plan the relaunch very carefully.
Q Would new wrestlers be used?
A Nothing has been decided or even thought about at the moment Eric.
Q If this relaunch doesnt go ahead what does the future for Vince Rooney hold?
A I am not planning on retiring and dying anytime soon. I have a few years left and a lot of money to do
things. I am running an interviewing show like you have Eric on another website http://www.djrooney.cjb.net which is fun to do. I have several other ideas on new things that I could run. But its all ideas at the moment
Eric.
Q Out of the 21 months the RWF has run now Vince what stands out as your favourite moment of them all?
A The final one when it all ends! (Vince laughs) No seriously it would probably have to be RooneyMania 2.
I think thats the peak of the company. It was a great show and a great storyline. Its RooneyMania too you dont get much better
than that.
Q You say you have no regrets about the RWF. Do you have any small regrets or wish you could have done something
different about it?
A Not really Eric. Sometimes I wish I could have got the wrestlers more involved in the action. That would
have been something I wanted to do a lot. But apart from some of the ideas around the running of the RWF I have no real regrets.
But I could have done it better and if I find the way to have done it better I will relaunch it definitely. If I find I couldnt
do it better it wont relaunch. As simple as that.
Q I heard that if you dont relaunch you may do one of specials?
A Thats another possibility but until I get back from my holiday and start discussing these matters I dont
have anything to say. But I will be discussing all this dont worry.
Q RWF 4 Life?
A Perhaps so Eric...
Q Well this is the end Vince...
A Not the end Eric dont worry...If we dont come back or if we do come back this is the end of an era. Things
wont be the same ever again. But dont fear and dont cry we have all the lovely memories forever. The RWF is for life because
it will be remembered for life. It will be remembered for all its crappy moments and terrible storylines. I couldnt wish for
a better ending than that....
